Most kitchens have a Microwave oven these days but let’s face it, we rarely use them for anything more than heating up leftovers. Which is a crime given these amazing appliances are capable of doing so much more. Forget those dodgy 1980’s microwave cookbooks, here is five of my favourite things to do with my microwave!
Make Baked Potatoes

Make Strawberry Jam

This Microwave Strawberry Jam is ultra fast and ultra easy to make. Fresh strawberries are combined with sugar and lemon juice, then microwaved. Bottle it in a sterilised jar and this jam will last for 3 months (unopened in the kitchen cupboard) or for about a week in the fridge after opening. Best of all – there are no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives!
